Co-Founder / CEO
Brad Keywell is a curious and innovative leader with an inherent drive to disrupt business as we know it. Among the ventures he has co-founded are Lightbank, Groupon, MediaOcean and Echo Global Logistics. He is also Founder and Chairman of Chicago Ideas Week, an annual innovation platform for global thought leaders, and is the Past Chairman of the Illinois Innovation Council. Brad received a JD with honors from the University of Michigan and is an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he teaches a course on entrepreneurship and disruptive technology.
Chief Technology Officer
Jason Kolb is a brilliant technology entrepreneur with a big heart. Formerly an IT executive in the contact center industry, Jason started working with highly scalable Big Data, mining phone and email contact records. Enamored with massively huge data, he founded Latigent, a software company that built one of the first Web-based analytics platforms. Latigent was acquired by Cisco, where Jason led the investigation into Big Data platforms and strategy. Jason has authored best-selling books and writes about data strategy on his widely followed blog. Jason leads product strategy, vision, architecture and development.
Chief Operating Officer
John Ciasulli is a skilled communicator who thinks both quantitatively and empathically. He founded Aeos Technology and was head of engineering for a venture-backed startup in California. John was senior design engineer for utility scale solar systems at SunPower, where he designed what was then the largest solar power plant in North America. John holds an MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. At Uptake he leads new business development, product management and data science, while connecting with clients to share a vision in which he wholeheartedly believes.
Chief Creative Officer
Sara Frisk is a gifted strategic thinker and a passionate connector of people and ideas. She spent nine years at IDEO Chicago as portfolio director where her award-winning work helped American Red Cross, Divvy Bikes, Brooks Sports, Redbox, Sherwin-Williams and Walgreens grow their brands and develop more meaningful customer relationships. She is an active speaker, juror and advocate for the Chicago design community and serves as AIGA Chicago’s president. Sara is leading a team to develop brand and communication strategy, create a design-driven process and foster creative culture.
